We invite you to let us light – Just One Little Candle – in The Shrine!
We ask you to kindly start by by making a candle donation by clicking here.
You will be asked to provide the intention or memorial for the candle as part of the donation process. Candles will be lit immediately before the 8:30 A.M. Sunday Mass; for Intentions and Memorials received by Friday 3:00 P.M. The intentions or memorial will be included as part of the Prayers of the Faithful Intercessions. The candle will remain lit in the Shrine’s sanctuary for approximately seven days.
Join us the first and third Wednesdays of the month 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
On a September morning in 1918, praying before the Crucifix in the choir of the old church, Padre Pio received the gift of the stigmata, or visible wounds of the crucifixion, that remained in his body, fresh and bleeding, for half a century, until his death September 23, 1968.
The Holy Father John Paul II granted the title of “Venerable” on December 18, 1997, and he was canonized a saint on June 16, 2002.
The Shrine has held a prayer service to Padre Pio for many years. Many pilgrims place their intentions in his care. Join us the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
